What is a sitter session?

Typically we book these session right as your baby as mastered sitting up! This is such a fun session, most are not quite mobile to crawl away. They have such a personality at this age! We are able to capture some absolutely adorable smiles! This session always is a parents favorite! They love seeing all the cute expressions captured in such a short window if time. I recommend getting this scheduled about 1-2 weeks after you baby is confidently sitting unassisted!

What to expect at your sitter session?

At this age babies attention spans doesn't last long, I try to move fast before they have a melt down, or get too tired! I do this by having a solid work flow planned out ahead of time. Having all the backdrops and props ready help the session move quickly. I find that we are able to get a beautiful galleries in just 30-40mins. I like to keep these images timeless! Less is more! I don't use busy backdrop or a ton of props. I want you to look at these photos 20 years from now, and not think yeah that was totally 2020's!. Trends come and go, I want these photos to be cherished for a lifetime!

How to book your session

Sitter session are done in my boutique studio located in Southern Idaho, in the town of Buhl. It is never too soon to book your sitter session you can expect you baby to reach this milestone between six - eight months old. Much like booking your newborn session. I Just ask that you contact me once your baby has mastered sitting alone unassisted. We then get your baby on the schedule within two weeks!

Eventually their growth does slow down! Then yearly updated pictures are good enough. However in their first year of life they just grow, and change so much you don't want to miss a single thing!
